During the Treatment
- Botox : Your Skin Laundry Doctor will use a fine needle to apply Botox to targeted areas, after numbing them.The procedure is quick and minimally invasive, typically taking just a few minutes per area. You may experience minor discomfort, similar to a small pinch.
- Dermal Fillers : A topical numbing cream or ice is applied for comfort. The filler is then injected to restore volume or enhance contours, focusing on areas like the cheeks, lips, or under-eyes. You may feel slight pressure during the injection, but the process is designed to be as comfortable as possible.
AFTERCARE
Botox
- Stay Upright: Avoid lying down, bending over, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 4 hours.
- No Rubbing or Touching: Do not massage or touch the treated areas for 24 hours to allow the product to settle correctly.
- Avoid Intense Activity: Refrain from exercise or any vigorous activity for 24 hours to prevent increased blood flow to the face.
- Results Timeline: You may see gradual results within 3-7 days, with full effects by 2 weeks. Maintain results with follow-up treatments every 3-6 months.
Dermal Fillers
- Apply Ice: Use ice packs on the treated areas intermittently (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling and bruising.
- Gentle Pressure: If recommended by the Doctor, apply gentle massage to the treated areas for 2 minutes, 3-4 times a day over the next 2-3 days to ensure even distribution.
- Sleep Elevated: Keep your head elevated while sleeping for the first 2 nights to minimize swelling.
- Avoid Blood Thinners: Steer clear of aspirin and other blood thinners for 48 hours to minimize the risk of bruising.
- Limit Facial Movements: Avoid exaggerated facial expressions for 7 days to help fillers settle.
